Energy savings program using the SES Control system
Saving energy is now a priority in many organizations. Conservation of electrical and heat energy is closely associated with the company’s financial investments made, however, very often turns out not to be very cost-effective in the long run.
The energy savings program suggested by SESCOM provides a range of diverse actions, using very rational expenditure, which have a direct effect on saving energy.
'
SES Control System benefits
- Technical condition control – current information about the basic technical parameters in the facility.
- Utility usage measurements – current, actual, on-line utility usage measurements, electrical energy, water, heat, gas usage histograms.
- Prevention – ability to undertake actions which prevent breakdowns as soon as first symptoms arise.
- Extending the life expectancy of devices – through prevention, through shortening the device’s operating time.
- Lowering the energy usage – controlling operations of the energy receiver.'
How to save energy at minimum cost?
- Switching the energy receivers off when they are not needed, even when on stand-by mode..
- Switching off the lights when leaving the premises, using lighting accordingly to your needs, especially in office, commercial and industrial premises.
- Applying light devices which aim to reduce electrical energy usage (optional).
- Applying low-energy lighting (optional).
- Applying alternative lighting (optional).
- Reactive power compensation
- Setting higher temperature on the a/c unit. Every degree of higher temperature relates to shorter working time of the device
- Switching off the water heater and cooling it down at night as well as during days free from work
- Maintaining the a/c and ventilation units clean and in good technical condition.
The energy cost reduction effect is achieved by many small but systematic savings, thanks to the universality of using wide range of actions or by automation, simply excluding the human factor.
The benefits of carrying out electrical audits with SES Control:
- Ability to simultaneously conduct audits at various, scattered institutions – on-line transmission of the measurement results,
- Control over the correctness of invoices – based on factual usage measurements in the facility,
- Control over the correctness of energy usage by individual receivers – in relation to DTR and settlement meter readings,
- Control over possible operation irregularities leading to higher energy usage,
- Meter controls, correctness of the operation of meters and its safety, identification of meter installations,
- Control over the performance of automatics and/or implementation of optimized control program (on-line)
- Analysis of the heat/cooling requirements, luminous intensity measurements, source of light inventory and recommendations provided in the subject of altering lighting system, heating and cooling systems,
- Report preparation of the performed analyses, measurement readings, applications, guidance, recommendations of technical solutions (modernizing installations, compensating power, receiver-device operations), legal and contractual.
